Kids (birth-4th)

ABOUT

Our environments for kids are available every Sunday, at both 9:15 and 11 AM. At Chapel Rock, we love children. But more than that, we love their families. The goal of Chapel Rock Kids is to help build strong families. We believe that you will experience love, support and encouragement to build a home that looks more and more like Jesus each day.

SAFETY

We strive to provide a safe environment. To pick up your kid, you will need to present your child's matching tag, which you will receive at check-in. If you lose your child's corresponding tag, you will be asked to present a photo ID to receive your child.

SERVE

Early childhood (birth-k)

In early childhood, we create a safe and loving atmosphere for your child to learn about who God is while partnering with your family. We do this with an engaging storytelling time, worship through music, and interactive learning.

We teach our youngest kids these three basic truths:

• God made me • God loves me • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

We provide the following resources:

Parent Cue Cards-Weekly Parent Cue cards are provided to help parents see and create opportunities to build faith at home.

Baby Dedication- We want to partner with your family as your baby grows. Baby dedication is an opportunity for you to dedicate your baby to God and to commit to a partnership with the church. For more information about our next baby dedication service, contact Sherry Schwab.

Elementary (1st-4th)

Elementary programs engage children and build a faith foundation by partnering with parents and providing small groups where children learn God’s Word and the importance of Christian community. Each week, the children learn a Bible story in a fun and creative way that highlights a monthly virtue.

At 9:15 AM, kids meet in the following rooms: 1st & 2nd - FH 11; 3rd - ED 12; 4th - ED 13.

At 11 AM, kids meet in FH 15 for large group worship.

We teach our elementary kids these three basic truths:

• I need to make the wise choice • I can trust God no matter what • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

We provide the following resources:

Elementary Parent Cues- We believe that parents have the greatest opportunity to influence their children for Christ. That's why we give families a Parent Cue card every week. This card will give you ideas about how to reinforce each week's lesson at home.

Baptism

We love to see kids get baptized! We want to make sure children really understand what their decision means when they decide to follow God. For this reason, we ask that all children meet with a pastor before getting baptized. These talks usually take one hour and include a field trip to the baptistery. Please contact

Mike Belcher for more information, or to schedule an appointment.
