our Focus

Chapel Rock's primary purpose in missions is to evangelize the lost starting with the immediate community and extending to the ends of the earth. Through numerous missionaries and mission organizations, Chapel Rock ministers to people around the world. And, through many community outreach ministries Chapel Rock ministers to the whole person and to anyone willing to hear the gospel taught. Missions ministry serves the congregation by offering resources and experiences to enhance missions in the church.

  • To share Christ's heart for the world (Matthew 9:36-38)
  • To see men, women, and children saved and brought to knowledge of God (John 3:16, Romans 10:13-15)
  • To minister to the whole person within the scope of world evangelism
  • To educate and inspire the congregation in the field of world missions
  • To support, encourage, and evaluate all missionaries, and to communicate with them as to their physical and spiritual needs, both on a monthly and long-term basis

Mary Lee Pound traveled to Haiti with Lifeline Christian Missions. The women’s team handed out Christmas gifts to the children in Grand Goave.

A team traveled to Rockport, TX to work with Samaritans Purse to help with reconstruction because of Hurricane Harvey.  Work is still going on almost two years later.

A medical team of 50 people was to travel to Grand Goave and Savanne Carree in Haiti with Lifeline.  Because of political unrest the trip was canceled.  There is a rescheduled date for October 2019.  Contact CRCC if you are interested.

The Man-up team had 7 men go to Dominican Republic to work and minister with Crosswinds.  Below is a testimony from participant, Bill Roberts.

What a powerful week. Words can't really describe it, but I'll try. I spent the last 7 days with some great guys that have a servant’s heart, we worked hard and pushed and supported each other. A great display of team work to reach the goal put before us, we did it. I am very proud to be part of the team. We spent the week with an entire group of folks that have a servant’s heart, the staff at CMA are beyond amazing to work with. Their commitment to Christ, students, community and each other is inspiring to say the least. The best part of the week was the time I was able to spend with the Lord. I put a lot of stuff at His feet and off my heart. He spoke to me, spoke to my heart. Some of it was tough to hear/feel, some tough decisions need to be made and changes. My focus on Him is renewed. The timing of this trip was perfect, God knew that all along. I'd love to share pics and stories with anyone interested. Just Jesus!!!

Chapel Rock was the host for a fundraising dinner for International Conference on Missions, (ICOM)  “A Night of Missions” was the theme.  Jeff Vines was the featured speaker and funds were raised for a new education program ICOM is supporting that will give young adults training in missions.

Nick Wilkes is leading a team of families as well as individual youth and adults to New York City to work with One Life Christian Church. There is a total of 26 CRCC members making the trip. They will be involved in building rehab, VBS, bible studies and prayer walks in the neighborhood and in NYC.  The team leaves July 5th and will be involved with the worship service there on July 7th.

A team of 7 will be traveling to TCM in to work at Haus Edelweiss in the countryside outside Vienna, Austria while students there finish up classwork on location with the professors.  Graduate and higher classes are offered by TCM.  Eighty to ninety percent is online, but the remaining classwork is done in the classroom.  Our short-term missionaries will provide housekeeping, food and groundskeeping service.  Casey Scott will be leading a seminar for TCM graduates on how to avoid burn-out in ministry.

The re-scheduled medical team will be traveling to Grand Goave, Haiti.  Dates are October 3-12.  Please email Dave Pound if you are interested.
