Welcome to the Rock

Would you like to learn more about Chapel Rock? Attend our Welcome to the Rock luncheon on Sunday, June 7, at 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. This is a chance to meet Lead Pastor Casey Scott and listen as he shares the vision for our church and our community. Register by this Tuesday by calling the church office at 317-247-9739.

 

Bottles for Babies - Pick one up today!

Pick up a baby bottle or two at the changing table in the Foyer and fill it with change, bills, or a check (made to Life Centers). Please return filled bottles to the Welcome Desk no later than Sunday, June 21.

 

Bible Collection to Spread the Gospel

Chapel Rock is partnering with Bible Runners to get Bibles into the people's hands and the Gospel of Jesus into their hearts. Donate a Bible or Bibles (in any condition) by leaving them in the DropZone bin in the Foyer. To help cover shipping costs, please place a $1 bill as an easily-seen bookmark in the Bible. Our goal is 300 Bibles! 

 

GriefShare: Loss of a Spouse Seminar

At this two-hour seminar, you’ll discover that other people understand your loss and you’ll receive practical tips for coping with the death of a spouse. There are two identical seminars: Monday, June 22, at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. in WC 100. Register at griefshare.org/findagroup or email Robin Sweitzer at robin.sweitzer@gmail.com.

Women’s Ministry Summer Reading

Join the Women’s Ministry this summer, reading daily through the book of Genesis chapters 1 through 11. Starting June 1, and ending August 7. The reading will follow Pastor Casey's sermon series, Origin Story. Pick up a copy at the Welcome Desk.

 

Chapel Rockets Seniors Ministry Pitch-in Luncheon

Join the Rockets this Thursday, June 4, at 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for their monthly pitch-in luncheon. Please bring a side dish or two to share. Enter door #3.

 

Block Party Volunteer Shirts

If you received an orange volunteer shirt for the Block Party, please wash the shirt and return it to the Welcome Desk by the end of June. Thank you!

 

Operation Christmas Child Item Collection

This month the collection focus is clothing – socks, underwear, scarves, ball caps, bandanas – for ages 2-14, boy or girls. All items must be NEW and can be placed in the bin in the DropZone. Contact Judy Heuss at 317-702-0508 with questions or to volunteer.

 

Homeless Ministry Needs

Needed items are baby wipes, socks, t-shirts, razors, deodorant, tooth paste and tooth brushes, shampoo, and body wash/soap. New items can be placed in the DropZone bin in the Foyer.

 

Food Pantry Requests

Chapel Rock’s Food Pantry operates on the first and third Thursdays each month. Both monetary and non-perishable food donations are welcomed! Food donations may be placed in the DropZone bin in the Foyer. Contact Cindy West at 215-570-8578 if you would like to serve with the Food Pantry.
