Food Pantry Requests
The need to feed families in our community is greater than ever. Your food and monetary donations are crucial! Canned food, pet food, diapers and personal hygiene items are much needed. The drive-thru Food Pantry operates the first and third Thursday of each month from 3 to 6 p.m. Donations may be placed in the bin in the DropZone in the Foyer.
End of Year Contributions
Planning to make an end-of-year contribution to Chapel Rock? The general rule is a contribution is effective when delivered. Please refer to the following deadlines:
• Online contributions are considered delivered on the date the financial institution pays the amount. To ensure your gift is credited to 2022, your final online donation should be made no later than Wednesday, December 28.
• All gifts mailed through the USPS must be postmarked on or before December 31. Envelopes arriving with a postmark of January 1, or later will be credited to 2023.
• Should you opt to hand-deliver your gift to the office, you must arrive by 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 29.
To deduct any charitable donation of money on your tax return, the IRS requires that a donor have either a bank record or written communication from Chapel Rock. We will provide those who donated to the church during 2022 a mailed contribution statement in January 2023.
